This week, I had the privilege of experiencing Jumma prayer in the most unique setting. Nestled in the picturesque landscape of Northern Cyprus, I came across a mosque that was far from your typical structure. In fact, it wasn’t even a traditional mosque! 🕌 One of the local residents had lovingly converted his home into a prayer space, and though it was incredibly small, its beauty and serenity were undeniable—mashallah.
What made this mosque even more extraordinary was its breathtaking location, perched right on a cliff overlooking the ocean. As I stood there, I couldn’t help but marvel at the stunning views and the soothing sound of waves crashing against the rocks below. The natural harmony of this setting felt like a divine gift, perfectly complementing the spiritual atmosphere of Jumma prayer.
While the mosque didn’t have a designated ladies’ section, the warmth and hospitality of the locals truly stood out. They provided me with a prayer mat and opened a window so I could hear the imam clearly. I ended up praying outside, right on the cliff, with the ocean as my backdrop. It was a deeply humbling and awe-inspiring experience—one that I will carry with me forever.
SubhanAllah, what a blessing it is to witness the beauty of Allah’s creation in such a unique way. 🌊🙏 Moments like these remind us of the countless ways we can connect with our Creator, wherever we may be. May we all continue to find beauty and peace in our journeys. Jumma Mubarak! 💕
