preparation for the physical and mental health
what helps me every year a month before Ramadan is that I start cutting down on unhealthy consumption of food and tea/coffee which can be an addiction to the body and mind without noticing. If a day for example I went without coffee or eating on time sometimes as daily responsibilities can impact on timetable I would at times get migrane or head aches realising that I needed either coffee or food as I used to leave it if I was working. To prevent this before Ramadan even comes I start to control my consumption of coffee and food which helps when Ramadan starts.
The other thing I observe is my conduct and communication with others and family members., I watch my speech and keep away from paying attention to unnecessary conversations which don’t benefit my soul. A Muslim will then be able to grow emaan to reach ihsaan and from a mu’min strive to reach as a Muh’sin., however you cannot simply grow in this simply by controlling you mind, consuming food and so on, one must be steadfast in prayers and be able to read Qur’an after every Salah however if you may be busy due to responsibilities or work., you should make time for your soul in this blessed month simply to grow in stages slowly towards the light of Allah. I pray I am able to be of some support or assistance for others as Allah indeed loves those whom spread righteousness. JazzakAllahu khairan for this as I will be able to share a lot more experiences as realities Allah knows of from my side. May Allah unite and make ease for the Ummah☝🏼
Ma’asalam
