Where and how do I find Allah (swt)?

Imagine, there is a person in front of you who has all the opportunities of the world. His stomach is full, his health is good, he has everything he wants; he has a fortune that he spends incalculably and he does not even feel the need to think about tomorrow. We are not generalising, but such people rarely feel the need to pray. For them, life is a constant rush for more wealth, more prestige and higher positions. However, in the Holy Qur'an, Allah (swt) points out this ingratitude of man and warns us:

" And when We bestow favor upon man, he turns away and distances himself; but when evil touches him, then he is full of extensive supplication.”

(Surat al-Fussilet, 41:51)

" Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful. And indeed, he is to that a witness. And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense.”

(Surah Al-Adiyat, 100:6-7-8)

However, sometimes in moments of loneliness, when one feels lost in a deep inner emptiness, one finds oneself in need of questioning one's entire existence. These moments are often the times when man is closest to the Creator and embarks on an inner journey with a sincere prayer from the depths of his heart. No matter how much he denies it, he feels the need to take refuge in a supreme power in his most desperate moment.

This state of man, on the one hand, shows his helplessness and fragility, and on the other hand, it can be an opportunity for spiritual awakening. Perhaps it is time to realise that amidst all this wealth and material possibilities, true wealth and happiness lies in a spiritual bond with the supreme creator. Perhaps it is only in this journey through one's own inner world that one can find the peace and fulfilment one is truly seeking.

In short, prayer can be a search in one's inner world, a call in the depths of one's soul, a warm bond with the Creator, and most importantly, a source of solace beyond all material possessions. Wherever a person is, in whatever situation he is, by turning to the Creator with a sincere intention and praying, he can fill the emptiness in his heart and feel the meaning of life deeply. Therefore, prayer should always be the strongest refuge and the most sincere expression of man, not only in difficult times.

So, where should this search begin? This article is a guide that takes one on a deep inner journey about where and how to search for the Creator

Man The Most Perfect Being of Creation

Man is recognised as the most perfect being of all creation. His heart is regarded as a divine Nazar gâh (a place where Allah (swt) looks). All these express the sacred status of the believer and emphasise the grave sin of unnecessary heartbreak

Special Place  for Heartbroken People

Allah (swt) is always open to the prayers and supplications of His servants. Therefore, it is extremely important for people to turn to Allah (swt), to help the brokenhearted and to uphold justice. Maintaining justice and mercy between people, turning to Allah (swt) through worship and prayer, and supporting the oppressed can help people build a better, peaceful and happy life and win the Hereafter. It also opens the door to the path to Paradise

In a Hadith-i-Kutsi narrated by our Prophet (saas), it is stated as follows:

"On the Day of Resurrection, Allah, the Exalted and Glorified, will say:

"O son of Adam, I was sick, you did not visit   me!"

Servant will say:

"O my Lord, how can I visit You when You are the Lord of the worlds?"

Allah (swt) will command

"Did you not know that so and so servant of mine fell ill, but you did not visit him? Do you not know that if you had visited him, you would have found Me with him..."

Allah (swt) will command:

"O son of Adam!... I asked you for food, but you did not feed Me!"

Servant will say:

"O my Lord, how can I feed You?! You are the Lord of the worlds."

Allah (swt) will command:

"My so-and-so servant asked you for food. You did not feed him. Do you not know that if you had given him food, you would have found me with him?"

Allah (swt) will command:

"O son of Adam! I asked you for water, you didn't give me water!"

Servant will say:

He will say, "O my Lord, how can I make You drink water? You are the Lord of the Worlds."

Thereupon Allah (swt) :

"My servant asked you for water. You did not give him water. Do you not know that if you had given him water, you would have found me with him"

(Muslim, Birr 43)

Prayer is the Weapon of the Oppressed.

The prayer of every servant who has been subjected to oppression and whose heart has been hurt is submitted to Allah (swt) and is accepted as soon as possible. Because there is no veil between the prayer of the oppressed and Allah (swt). Our Prophet (pbuh) advised   his companions to avoid   the prayers of the oppressed, which are so acceptable, as follows:

"Beware of the prayer of the oppressed. For there is no veil between his prayer and Allah (swt).”

(Muslim, Iman, 29)

"There are three people whose prayers Allah does not reject:

-The prayer of the fasting until iftar (the breaking of the fast),

   -The prayer of the oppressed,

-The prayer of a just state leader.”

(Tirmîzî, Deavât, 48; Ibn Mâja, Duâ, 2).

MashaAllah, this is such a beautifully written reflection that reminds us of the deep connection between a servant and their Creator. The Qur’anic verses and hadiths you included are incredibly powerful and highlight the importance of dua, gratitude, and spiritual awakening. I especially loved the reminder of how, in moments of vulnerability, we often find ourselves closest to Allah, truly, those are the times when the heart calls upon Him with the most sincerity.

One of the most beautiful aspects of Islam is that Allah does not look at our outward appearance but at our hearts and deeds (Muslim). In that sense, keeping the heart pure through sincere repentance and righteous actions is essential. I just wanted to gently mention that phrases like the heart being a ‘divine Nazar gâh’ sometimes have Sufi connotations that are not directly rooted in Qur’an and Sunnah. While the idea of spiritual purification is absolutely valid, it’s always beneficial to use expressions that align with the language of revelation to ensure clarity and precision.

But overall, your content is truly inspiring, and I deeply appreciate the effort you put into sharing these valuable reminders. May Allah reward you abundantly for spreading such beneficial knowledge! ❤️
