Joining a Ramadan challenge group for the first time I found myself among Arabs and non-Arabs Muslims and non-Muslims It’s been an interesting experience but it also reinforced something I’ve noticed before when a non-Arab especially a Westerner embraces Islam they do so with understanding deep thought and research They often grasp the meaning of the Quran better than millions of Arab Muslims who were born into the faith but know little about it and never take the time to seek knowledge or reflect
Sadly many are Muslim by name only They have not utilized the Quran and Islam as a foundation for progress and leadership As a result they have fallen behind while others use Islamic teachings to build success and move forward
